Why are you running for Reelection to the Missouri State Senate?
There are so many issues that I have a passion for that I want to continue working on and need to be addressed by the Legislature. Education, Healthcare, continued Job Growth and Mental Health are the areas I really enjoy working on.

What is your favorite part about serving as State Senator currently?
My favorite part about serving is that my constituents trust me with the opportunity to shape public policy for the betterment of their lives.

Who is your political and/or personal hero?
Harry S. Truman

Is there a goal that you have not achieved yet legislatively?
Last year, the Missouri Senate and I were able to pass several pieces of legislation that made necessary reforms in healthcare. I want to continue these reforms and guarantee access to affordable healthcare for everyone.

What piece of legislation, passed or not, are you most proud of?
The new school funding formula, this legislation will send over $23 million new dollars to our schools in Platte and Buchanan Counties, all without a tax increase.
